About us

We aim to provide healing
through skilled, caring massage
in a beautiful, natural space.

Inspired by the relaxing holiday atmosphere of Sydney`s outdoor pools, Massage by the sea... was launched in 1998.

A massage on the decks of Wylie`s Baths is still a much-loved local tradition in Coogee. Massage by the sea... is Sydney`s oldest outdoor resort-style massage therapy centre.

Today happy customers also enjoy the benefits or massage indoors in our beautiful rooms at the Natural Healing Centre.

Qualified Massage Therapy

All therapists at Massage by the sea... are fully qualified and registered remedial massage therapists.

Our therapists also receive further training at our centre to ensure the highest standards of care and service.

We provide treatments that are both effective in relieving pain and discomfort AND relaxing!

A massage as individual as you are

Our multi-skilled massage specialists will assess your individual needs and wants and then use a blend of the following different skills and techniques:

Remedial Massage

Manipulation of the body muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments. Relieves pain and injury using a variety of techniques.

Swedish Massage

This smoother, more flowing massage detoxifies the body and is great for those just wanting to let go and relax.

Heated Stone Massage

Heated smooth flat stones are place on key points of the body inducing a deeply relaxing effect.

Lymphatic Drainage

A gently tactile therapy for treating the body where excessive amounts of fluid have built up causing swelling.

Reflexology

A combination of pressure techniques is used on parts of the feet which reflect different parts of the body to address imbalances in the mind and body.

Deep Tissue Massage

Little or no oils are used to gain access to the deeper muscular and fascial structures. This is the massage where you can really feel the therapists working hard.

Sports Massage

Nothing beats a great massage after a serious workout (or swim!). Sports massage also prevents injuries, repairs damage and speeds recovery.

Trigger Point Therapy

Sustained pressure is applied to "knots" in the muscles to alleviate tension and referred pain from that muscle. So, although you may feel the pressure, you know you are being smoothed out.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi

An amazing fluid rhythmic massage that has an uplifting affect on the person on all levels: physical, mental and spiritual. Great for increasing lymphatic circulation and detoxifying the body. 1½ hours is recommended.

Pregnancy Massage

For pregnant women and new mums. We give special attention to areas such as the lower back, legs and feet which can suffer during pregnancy. Sadly though, we can't help you with the lack of sleep and all those nappies!
